Mount Langley, Sierra Nevada

The trail is very well maintained for the entire section that I followed. It makes route-finding pretty easy.

First view of Mount Langley.

This meadow is at approximately 11000'. I saw a few marmots here who unfortunately didn't stick around for the photo ops.

There are a number of lakes in this area (as in "Cottonwood Lakes"). This is a small waterfall into one of the lakes.

This is a slightly higher meadow. The trail is remarkably well-maintained here.

I decided to try a Class 3 route rather than the trail. I didn't reach the Mt. Langley summit, but the route was fun with some quality scrambling required.

The summit (NOT Mt. Langley) view looking southeast. The south side of this ridge is a fairly gentle slope. I descended via this route to Muir Lake, and
then eventually reconnected with the trail at the Cottonwood Lakes. It worked out nicely.

Mount Langley.
